Here, at Bible Truth, the Pre-K curriculum is designed to provide young children with a nurturing and engaging learning environment that fosters their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. The curriculum focuses on play-based learning, exploration, and hands-on activities.
The preschooler’s day is divided into two sections. We begin each morning with devotion where bible songs, fingerplays, prayers, and memory texts are covered each day.
The morning is set aside for academics where the developmental needs of each child are stressed. Qualified teachers have planned structured and non-structured activities designed to meet those needs. The atmosphere is relaxed to make learning fun. The children are not forced to learn but are encouraged to learn at their own pace. After nap time, the program is planned to enhance the morning’s activities.
The classes are small with low Teacher-child ratios to ensure each child receives the individual attention needed. A warm, loving, happy environment is fostered to help the child grow to his/her potential.
Kindergarten Curriculum
Here at Bible Truth, we use the Abeka Kindergarten curriculum which is a comprehensive educational program designed to provide children with a strong foundation in reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and Christian values. The program is based on a phonics-based approach to reading and emphasizes hands-on learning and active participation.
In language arts, students learn to recognize and write letters, develop phonemic awareness, and learn basic sight words. They also learn to read simple words and sentences and develop an understanding of basic grammar concepts.
In math, students learn to recognize and count numbers, understand basic addition and subtraction, and develop an understanding of geometry and measurement. They also learn to sort, classify, and compare objects.
In science, students explore topics such as plants, animals, the human body, weather, and basic scientific concepts. They participate in hands-on experiments and learn to observe and describe the world around them.
In social studies, students learn about their community, their country, and the world around them. They develop an understanding of basic geography, learn about different cultures, and explore important historical events.
The Abeka kindergarten curriculum also includes a strong emphasis on Christian values and character development. Students learn to respect others, develop good manners, and understand their place in God’s plan.
